After a month in the
illuminated part it can be observed a greater quantity of
photosynthetic microorganisms (green filaments) and airbags, but no
major change is observed. In the unenlightened part, blackheads iron
sulfide are increasing. The orange colour is still around the
unenlightened area, it is as a kind of border between photosynthetic
organisms in the area with light and chemosynthetic microorganisms in
the dark area.It should be added that there is no plague of snails on
the surface of the column.
In the dark column,
blackheads iron sulfide (II) are increasing and an orange colour is
still observed on the surface
