Cadiz, 7C: Winograndsky column, 1st and 2nd week results (group 7C)

Hi, we study Enology at the University in Cádiz,Spain.

We made a Winograndsky column on Thrusday,5th March in Microbiology laboratory.
The Winograndsky column contains a mixture of muddy sediment from San Pedro river. Also, we added CaCO3, CaSO4 and motor oil. The mixture was introduced into a bottle of Aquarius. We filled 3/4 of mixture in the bottle and then we filled 4/5 of water.
The bottle is in a window of a bathroom in Arcos de la Frontera (town of Cádiz). In the town there isn´t high temperatures now and is a perfect place for the Winograndsky column.
The fist day in the top of the bottle appared two pink worms, then the worms disappeared because the bottle was black, we thought that the color black was by motor oil that we added and we think that the worms were dead because the motor oil is a very contaminant product.
The column hasn´t changed much in the week.
