Incubation Dark
For the experiment we used a sediment sample from the Anavros area (3/4 of the plastic bottle) mixed with a hens egg and pieces of newspaper and then added 500ml of seawater. The bottle was then placed in the dark under stable conditions.

No changes where noticed except the growth of the cloudy white substance above the sediment sample.

Nice white fluffy material but why it appeared at the sediment-water interface and what types of microorganisms/microbial metabolism could it represent?
