University of Thessaly, Volos, Group Number 2, Dark, Incubation number 57
Hello to everyone. We are presenting you our results from day 25 to day 57
DAY 25
The odor became more noticeable due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). In addition the lower layer of the sediment became darker due to the presence of organic matter in the Winogradsky column. The color of the water became more lighter than it was the days before.
DAY 50
A beige-brown color replaced the previous one. Also the white foam along with the bubbles remain in the surface.
DAY 57
We can observe that the water is black now.Futhermore there is a foam-bubble crust on the surface. This is due to the death of microorganisms.
Bubbles = death .... hmmmmm, really???
