Some weeks later...Group B3 UCA

Some weeks later, We had found our Winograndsky Column looking different. We could see more clearly the diferense between two main diferent bacteria, those that use SO4 for the respiration and produce H2S, they are responsible of being black or dark the most part of the bottom of our tube. And on the other hand We can see that we still having on tube's "surface" a layer green and brown, that we supposed that is due to the existence of Chlorobacteria, sand and water.  Obviously, all those microorganisim that need oxigen are dead in those days. Now all the bacteria we have in our column are strictly anaerobe. Here you can see, with your own eyes the column, The pictures were taken on April the 17th of 2017.

  1. Chlorobacteria are a very special group of bacteria (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chloroflexi_(phylum)). What you see at the top of your column is something much simpler...

Are all the bacteria that live in your column anaerobes? Top and bottom?
