After three week, we can appreciate that some microorganisms
have grow near the surface. We could say that they are aerobic microorganisms,
but if we compare our column with the column of other students we can see that
the same type of microorganisms have grown in all the column.
So we can conclude that these microorganisms can't survive
to the concentration of salt at the bottom of the column.
At the bottom of the column we can see how it turned into
black, that means there are iron oxide, typical waste of iron oxidizing
bacteria’s metabolism.
Are the black spots from iron oxidisers?
