Universidad Cádiz_Grupo A6A3_Entry 1: Day 0 - Making our column

 Hey everyone

To prepare the Winogradsky Column we took some soil from the San Pedro River and mixed it with paper and 30g of NaCl. We prepared 2 bottles with the objective of comparing the results after storing them in different conditions. During the first 5 weeks, both bottles were exposed to direct sunlight on one side in an aerobic, hypertonic environment, in order to see where different types of microorganisms decided to locate themselves. After these 5 weeks, one of them was switched to a place without sunlight, in the interest of visualising the changes that occur on existing microorganisms when conditions are modified.

 We will keep you informed.
